2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
When you visit the website, the web server processes technically necessary data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, file requested, amount of data transferred, status code, referrer URL as well as browser and operating system. This data is necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security, for example to fend off attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website. The log files are deleted after 8 weeks.
3. Cookies, access to your device and consent
Without your consent, we do not set any cookies and do not read any information from your device that is not technically necessary to display the page.
On your first visit, we ask you in a notice whether you consent to Google Ads conversion tracking. We store your decision in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) so that we do not ask you again on every page. Only your choice and the time are stored. We ask again after twelve months. This storage access is technically necessary (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).
You can withdraw or give your consent again at any time with effect for the future: via the cookie settings link, which is also in the footer of every page. When you withdraw your consent, we delete the Google Ads cookies on this website.
4. Google Ads conversion tracking
We place advertisements with Google Ads. To measure whether an advertisement has led to an enquiry via our contact or demo form, we use Google Ads conversion tracking with your consent. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).
Only after you have given your consent does your browser load the Google tag (gtag.js) from Google’s servers. Google sets cookies in the process (e.g. _gcl_au, and additionally _gcl_aw when you arrive via an advertisement), which are stored for up to 90 days. If you come to us via an advertisement and then send an enquiry, Google and we can tell that the advertisement led to an enquiry. In particular, your IP address, browser and device information, the page visited, the ad click ID and the date and time are transmitted to Google. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google without any information that identifies you personally. Google does not receive the content of your enquiry. We do not use personalised advertising (remarketing) or Google Analytics.
Google also processes the data in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google’s privacy policy also applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time via the cookie settings. Without your consent, the Google tag is not loaded.
5. Contact and demo forms, email
If you contact us via a form or by email, we process your details (name, company, email address, the subject of your enquiry and your message) in order to answer your enquiry. The form data is not stored on the web server but is transmitted directly as an email to our mailbox.
For email we use Microsoft 365 from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Microsoft pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Microsoft processes the data within the EU Data Boundary; a transfer to the USA cannot be completely ruled out. Microsoft Corporation is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses also apply.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete your data as soon as the enquiry has been dealt with and there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
6. Links to other websites
Among other things, we link to GitHub (source code of WolfISMS), to our support portal at Atlassian, to our download server and to the LinkedIn profiles of our managing directors (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Dublin). The LinkedIn icons are simple links without any embedded content from LinkedIn. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider when you click on such a link. The provider’s privacy policy applies there.
7. Encryption
The website is delivered exclusively via HTTPS. Data you send via the forms is transmitted in encrypted form.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
